Resource Package: The Pain Revolution Program

Overview :

Do you find it challenging to explain pain and help patients grasp the complex idea of pain?

In this free Resource Package, Carolyn Vandyken explains the complex topic of pain into easy to follow videos that can be shared with your patients using Embodia.

This free Resource Package by Carolyn Vandyken contains a series of 6 educational videos designed to help explain pain to patients. These videos can be shared with your patients via Embodia if you are an Embodia Member (Subscriber) in our Tier 2 or Tier 3 Membership plan. You can learn more about Embodia membership options on this page or you can reach out to us at

The Videos in this Resource Package are for Patients who:

  • Have had an assessment with their physiotherapist, doctor or nurse practitioner
  • Are willing to learn about how the pain system works
  • Are willing to participate in a daily practice of movement, breath, and wellness techniques to reduce their pain and regain function.

AFHT’s Pain Revolution Program consists of a set of educational videos, set up on Embodia, a virtual platform that provides healthcare providers with the opportunity to share education with their  patients.

Your patients will become familiar with new concepts such as:

  • How they think about their pain can change the way it feels
  • Tension and guarding are one of the main drivers of persistent pain
  • They can reduce their pain by actively following the suggestions of this program
  • There is hope that they can reduce their pain and get back to doing the things that they love!

Active participation is encouraged as movement is a key principle; all exercise components can be adjusted to any level to keep your patients comfortable and safe.
